About

The Midwest Epistemology Workshop aims to advance interest in epistemology by organizing an annual workshop for the presentation and discussion of current work in the field. MEW also aims to establish a sense of community among epistemologists in the region that stimulates new research, improves its quality, and facilitates its dissemination. To this end, the workshop will be organized to encourage as much discussion and interaction as possible among the participants. Although workshops will typically be hosted by a college or university in the Midwest, all philosophers with an interest in epistemology are invited and encouraged to attend.

We ask that all attendees be fully vaccinated, and wear masks while indoors at the event.

While there is no registration fee, you must register to attend. This will help us keep track of the number of participants and make sure we have safe spaces for the workshop. Please register by sending an email by Friday, October 1, letting the hosts know you plan to attend. We recommend that you arrive on October 28 and depart on October 31 (or late on October 30). If arriving by plane, the closest airport is the Eastern Iowa Airport, also known as the Cedar Rapids Airport (CID).

Acommodations

We have blocked a number of rooms at The Graduate Hotel in Iowa City, available for $100 per night. The number of rooms available in the block are limited, however, so you are encouraged to make the reservations soon; reservations must be made by Friday, October 1.
